Why Do We Celebrate Indian Republic Day Speech? [2021]
On this day of the Indian Constitution, the famous saying “Why don’t we celebrate?” erupts.
The celebrations on this day are not just about the government work but it also includes the personal reactions of people to the government policies.
The first celebrations of Indian Republic were in the 16th century when the Portuguese brought there a lot of wealth.
They established the Kongo empire and brought it to the western part of India. Independence was granted to the country by the British in the 18th century. Independence was accompanied with the creation of the constitutional form of government.
Since then, the country has been following the path of development. Every decade after that has seen profound changes in the structure of the country.
A major change in the political scenario has happened after the First World War. India was invaded by the British and some of its provinces were included in the British Empire.
In order to commemorate the day, all government offices across the country observe two days of celebrations.
Some of the places have dedicated bands and other events for different purposes. Some of the events include parades, pageants, street celebrations and various types of dances. In the past, the celebration of Indian Republic Day was linked to the harvest.
Farmers used to celebrate the entire day by making their gardens and storing the rice, wheat and cereals for the use of their families.
But now, they celebrate the festival on this day by going out for an outing. The children get dressed up in new clothes and go to the malls, parks and other places where they meet their friends and neighbors.
They enjoy music and dance and eat foods that are special to that region. The people enjoy their freedom and do not feel shackled by any laws. They enjoy their lives and learn a lot about other cultures.
Although the people celebrate the festival on this day with great joy and happiness, the government has certain regulations that need to be followed. On this day, no dumper shall be used on the roads.
Similarly, no firework or fireworks shall be used anywhere near the roads. Thus, you can see that the celebration of Indian Republic Day 2021 is not only a celebration of the beautiful history and heritage of the nation, but it is also a way of avoiding the fire accidents that can cause loss of lives.
